Our Instructors come from the US Army Special Forces, The US Special Operations Command, and the NRA.

Intermediate Skill Seminars are short duration, high intensity training seminars covering specific aspects of the use of firearms from basic to advanced Tactical Applications. These Seminars are 2-4 hours in length and have very little if any classroom time. Most are taught on the range and use the time for intense training. If you are a beginner you may want to take the seminars that are basic in nature. These seminars are going to be scheduled multiple time a year so don’t think that you will miss out if you can’t attend the next one. These seminars will cover the following subjects. THESE SEMINARS ARE FOR THE SHOOTER THAT HAS BEEN SHOOTING FOR A WHILE AND HAS NEVER HAD ANY FORMAL TRAINING. Advanced Concealed Carry I

Course Description:

The Advanced Concealed Carry course is for the shooter that has already attended the legal classes needed for and received the NC CCH permit. The course covers basic tactical application shooting topics that most individuals have never had training on. This is a one day course that builds basic fundamentals of tactical shooting skills that prepare the citizen for an unexpected encounter with an assailant involving the use of his or her concealed handgun. The course starts in the classroom with an in-depth discussion and hands-on practical instruction about the fundamentals of marksmanship and the principles for Tactical application of use in the gunfight.

Use of a Glock 19 Pistol and Magazines can be furnished free of charge for the student.

Advanced Concealed Carry II

Course Description:

The Advanced Concealed Carry II course is for the shooter that has already attended the legal classes needed for the NC CCW permit and completed the ACC 1 Course. The course covers practical shooting topics that most individuals have never had training on. This course builds on basic fundamentals of shooting skills that prepare the citizen for the unexpected encounter with an assailant involving the use of his or her concealed handgun. The course starts in the classroom with an in-depth discussion and hands-on practical instruction about the fundamentals of marksmanship and the principles for application of use in the gunfight. This then moves into the Dojo where the student learns to defend against the knife, stick and open hand attacks while creating space and moving to a position where they can draw a weapon and use it at intimate distances against a threat target. This portion of the course involves force on force training to cement the training and give a true account of what happens in the gunfight indoors in a realistic scenario. There will physical hand to hand combat training in this course and you must be prepared for this. YOU WILL GET HIT. From there it is out on the range to put these new skills to use in a live fire scenario and learn more skills from the draw.

Home Defense Course

Course Description:

The Home Defense Course is designed to teach the tactics and strategies for defending one’s home against a home invasion by a single or multiple threats as a single individual, not a member of a four-man team.  This course concentrates on three strategies, Fight in place, Fight to a safe area and barricade or Fight to escape. The key is that you must fight. This course will show you ways to improve your stance in the home and use the knowledge you have against the invaders. This course is not a beginner or intermediate course. You will be required to know how to implement the many different techniques of weapons handling and use against single and multiple threats in a confined space. There is also shooting while moving required. The student will learn to use the Rifle or Pistol in these areas. There are no shotguns allowed in the shoot house for this course. This course will use Live Ammunition and Ultimate Training Munitions Man MArker Rounds as part of the course. To introduce the Tactics Techniques and Procedures for this course the students will engage in UTM force on Force scenarios and then move over to single person Movement using live ammunition. The 360-degree shoothouse replicates all facets of modern home designs and is reconfigurable in minutes. This allows the students to do multiple scenarios in different ways to best learn the techniques.

This course develops the gunfighter mentality and skill set needed for integrating both primary and secondary weapons systems in preparation for the Tactical Urban Gunfight. Course Description:

The Intermediate 1 Long Range Precision Shooting Course builds on the intro course by adding in the ability to call and account for winds, more D.O.P.E. for your shooting data book, environmental factors of long range shooting, and incorporates longer distances out to 800 yds. We introduce and begin to learn how to use ballistic calculators and the spotting scope as an integral part of your shooting equipment. YOU CANNOT TAKE THIS COURSE UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE INTRO COURSE!

One Day Intermediate 2 Long Range Precision Rifle Course

Course Description:

The Intermediate 2 Long Range Precision Rifle Course incorporates the spotter as a part of the shooting team, and engagements are extended to 1000 yds.

This course will cover Field Density Altitude Calculations, Ballistic Calculator Cards, ATRAG, Rapid Engagement Techniques, and Point Blank Zero.

Other skills re-enforced are reading trace, calling winds from the spotter position, Using the ballistic computer, using the HORUS Reticle System. There will be absolutely no zeroing of your rifle for this course. It should be done at the intro level. Bring your lunch and dress for the weather. YOU CANNOT TAKE THIS COURSE UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE INTRO AND INTERMEDIATE 1 COURSES

The Advanced Long Range Precision Rifle Course builds on the previous course and takes ranges out to 1000 yds and beyond. This course incorporates the spotter and shooter as a team, making shots in higher winds, non-traditional shooting positions, and more. Each course requires the previous course to be completed and when all done you are ready to read winds, call shots as a spotter and take the shots needed for targets out to 1000 yds and beyond. Course Description:

This course is a tactical shotgun skills building course for the tactical sport shooter that focuses on the fundamentals of shooting safety, shotgun handling and marksmanship and builds speed and accuracy for the tactical environment. This course begins with an initial skills evaluation. You will quickly gain experience, confidence and increase your level with a Shotgun and this course ends with a final evaluation to let you know what improvement you have made.

NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Course

Course Description:

This course teaches beginning re-loaders the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely reload metallic cartridges. This course is eight hours in length and is conducted in a classroom. Students will receive the NRA Guide to Reloading handbook, the Basic Reloading Student Exam, a course completion certificate, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an Instructor Application/Course Evaluation form. (Lesson Plan, revised 4-05).

This course is limited to 10 students. You MUST register in advance for this course.
