Basics

Definition of a Basic Shooter

A beginner is someone that has fired a firearm a few times and has found that they are in need of correct training to prevent training scars. Or have formed bad habits due to lack of correct training by other people that are not qualified firearms instructors. The basic NRA level courses are where these courses are aligned. A person that shoots around 100 to 500 rounds from a standing position a month is considered to be a beginner shooter. This is a perfect time to take a formal class of instruction and learn the functions of a rifle, handgun or shotgun. It’s safety features and basic marksmanship skills are exercised in this level of training. (example, Learning to load and unload correctly and correct malfunctions).
